Paul George

Breaking News. The Indiana Pacers are 3rd in the Eastern Conference with a 22-14 record. And Paul George is having a breakout season with Danny Granger on the shelf with a knee injury. The 6' 8" George has taken on a new role on the Pacers while 16.9 ppg. His ppg is up almost 5 points from last season. He is also ranked fifth in rpg for small forwards behind some elite rebounders like Kenneth Faried, LeBron James, and company.

Paul George is starting to show his potential

George is known around the league to be a great defender but the knock on him has always been his ball handling. This year he is turning the ball over 2.8 times a game which is up 1.0 from last year. He is going to have to improve in this area to get to the next step in his development.

George and the Pacers are putting up a surprisingly productive season. The scary thing about him is that he is not a finished product. Keep in mind that he is 2 years pro and still only 22 years old. Even though he hasn't reached his full potential, we are beginning to see the glimpses of what is capable of.

The Pacers have a good little tandem going for them right now with George, Roy Hibbert, and George Hill. When and if Danny Granger returns the Pacers will improve even more, but if he is unable to return this season, Paul George has proven that he is capable of carrying a bigger role.
